Homemade Wipes

From another blog…

When I saw the homemade soft scrub posted I thought perhaps everyone would like this recipe. I’ve been making them for a few years for my DH who has suffered with hemorrhoids and commercial wipes cause him more pain. They are very economical and gentle on baby’s skin:

2 cups water (warm)
2 TBSP natural oil like olive oil or grapeseed oil
1 TBSP liquid soap or shampoo (try to get one with very little chemicals–Walmart’s Equate baby shampoo is what I use)
2 drops Tea Tree oil
1 roll of sturdy paper towels (Bounty Select-a-size is best)

Cut the paper towel roll in half with a non-serrated knife. Place the half roll into a container such as an ice cream container cut end down. Mix together the ingredients and pour over the paper towel in the container. Wait a few minutes for the inner cardboard tube to get soaked and then pull that out. Find the end of the paper towel in the centre and feed it up through a cross you have cut into the lid of the ice cream container.

My daughter has used these on her face to remove makeup and found that her pimples disappeared after a couple of days. It doesn’t dry out the skin like commercial wipes and makeup removers do.
