|You or someone you love, may appreciate some of the following information…
Consider these for Fibromyalgia and other auto immune diseases (migraine, arthritis, etc.):
If you don’t get several hours of sunlight daily, or if you are depressed, you probably have a Vitamin D3 deficiency. Your physician will more than likely not have a clue as to the proper dosage rates, which are 2.5 mg Magnesium Citrate + 20 IU Vitamin D3 (per lb. Body Weight) daily. Vitamin D3 is a hormone we create when we get enough sunlight, and it underlies the production of the other hormones our body needs to maintain its balance; for example, under stress your adrenals get exhausted producing cortisol, and needs that D3 to help. The Magnesium acts as a carrier to the cells.
B12 deficiency robs people of energy and has similar symptoms to low thyroid. The B12 injections are made with synthetic chemicals and is inferior, but you can get a superior biological form called Methylcobalamine. This comes as a dissolving tablet taken sublingually (under the tongue), but the central molecule (think Cobalt) is too large to go through the oral membranes easily. However, it will go through nasal membranes, but if you cannot find the nasal gel form, you can make your own. An adult will usually need 3,000 mcg daily. Take a tablet and add a drop of water to it. Press this into a paste and smear it inside your nose. It is not that bad, but I do it before bedtime rather than in the morning.
Go off all forms of gluten for one week, and then have a slice of bread. Note how you feel 12-18 hours later if no digestive problems (like pain or bloating, etc.) have cropped up. If you feel still and achy, the gluten is probably inflaming your connective tissues, especially if you are lactose-intolerant.
A friend takes a spoonful of coconut oil and 2 cayenne capsules in the mornings to boost his energy. An older gentleman, he has more energy than the younger men with whom he plays hockey. I have to agree, when I do this, I do have much more energy.
For problems sleeping, you can now get good formulations of 5-HTP and Melatonin, precursors to seratonin. Take this the same time every night about 30 minutes before bedtime, and don’t drink any form of caffeine after 3:00 p.m. Your circadian rhythms should reset themselves in a few days. If the problem persists, you can order Leritone SR on line from NutriSante in Quebec. This is made from a long chain fatty acid, which was like a miracle for me. I had not been able to read or retain anything for a few years when I discovered this, and within a few days I was sleeping instead of restless dozing, and reading again and retaining the information. I only needed to take it for a few months. Ten years later, I want to revisit this.
Ginko Biloba will stimulate the brain if you have brain fog and memory problems. It can overstimulate the brain, so do be attentive when you use it.
Coconut Oil turns into energy very easily. It is mostly comprised of medium-chain triglycerides, a positive type of fat that our brains need, and if we eat low-fat diets, may be starving for. In fact, there is some evidence that 3 tsp. Daily may help with Alzheimer’s. People in the Philippines apply it topically for backaches, and because it is a ‘drying’ oil, it is soothing on the skin without promoting the over-production of sebum. Non-comedogenic, it is also used in face and body creams for people with skin problems; in acne, it actually helps to dissolve the matter in clogged pores.
Finally, Lithium Orotate in very small dosages (10 mg. Of elemental Lithium) have shown to act as a prophylactic against Alzheimer’s Disease. My mother died of this, and her mother had it, so I am taking it. Your pharmacist probably won’t know anything about it. It is available through Amazon.ca. You won’t feel anything different though you may feel a little calmer than usual, as if you had taken a cup of chamomile tea (Lithium Salts were used to calm angry people down in the olden days, and are still used with some severe personality disorders, but in dosages between 700 and 1,600 mg.).

Investigate the following yourself:
If you find improvement, this is confirmation of what your body needs, not the dosage on the side of the bottle. Remember, your physician has little more understanding of nutrition than the man on the street, and may have only taken one semester of pharmacology in med school. The pharmaceutical companies grab med school drop-outs to train as sales personnel, so they speak with physicians as equals, who rely on them for biased information rather than on their own reading of published research. And rarely will you find a physician who follows the latest in naturopathic research. The AMA/CMA decries naturopathic approaches as non-scientific, but the truth is, pharmacological research cannot achieve standardized ‘scientific’ findings either, which is why advertising states ‘may cause … (negative) symptoms including death.
So I hope you will consider trying some of these more natural approaches.
